Sunday night Orrin and I found a rather large lump on Hurley’s chest so we took her to the vet first thing Monday morning. Due to the size and nature of the mass they suggested that we do an aggressive biopsy that day to determine what it could be. Poor little thing, (well she isn’t actually little but she’s so sweet and cuddly) has stitches, needs to take antibiotics two times a day which she hates and has to wear a cone on her head that totally makes her uncoordinated. Last night and today she’s been doing much better which makes me feel more at ease; seeing her upset or in pain just tears me up. Now were just waiting for the results. I’m praying that whatever it is, it’s curable. We’ve already decided that because she’s young that we would do whatever it takes but still if it’s cancer that’s going to be a very emotional roller coaster for us. I haven’t completely mourned the loss of Oreo and can’t imagine going though all of that again. Anyway that’s my update, it’s not wonderful but it’s what’s going on. Pray for us and especially my baby Hurley!
Love,
Stephanie & Orrin
